Complex solution – aluminium railing system with glazing series 630

Almost 1,000-meter aluminium railings and glazing for countless balconies – one of the projects carried out by RIPO fabrika in Umeå, Sweden. This project mostly stands out thanks to its excellent functionality and well-thought-out complex solution. The project brilliantly combines aluminium railings serie 155 and glazing serie 650.

Umeå is a city in Northern Sweden where the weather conditions are rather harsh; therefore, balcony glazing in such a climate is especially important since it protects against furious weather and also takes care of the safety thanks to the railing system. The glazing system is sliding (for opening purposes) and, therefore, can be customized for wide range of situations. Moreover, maintenance comes easy and requires no excessive efforts.

Safety was one of the main factors in this project because railings and balcony glazing were installed in an elderly care home. Bearing in mind both safety and comfort, this unique complex solution was designed. The neutral glass printing serves both decorative and practical (less see-through) purposes.
